How to run this round

  1. Ask the birthday person these questions privately and write down their answers. Skip anything they would rather keep to themselves.
  2. For each answer, write three believable alternatives. Use one clearly correct choice and avoid overlapping options.
  3. Mix recent habits with older memories so newer friends can take part. After each reveal, invite a short story behind the answer.

    Confirm the exact dish this week. Keep all four options at the same level of detail so the correct answer does not stand out.

  3. Which song would [name] choose first for karaoke?

    Ask for one song and artist. Use alternatives their friends could plausibly imagine them singing.

  4. Which board game would [name] pick for a rainy evening?

    Get one first choice rather than a list of favourites. Offer three other games the group recognizes.

  5. What was the first live concert [name] attended?

    Confirm the performer and whether school performances count. If they have never been to one, replace this question.

  6. Which snack does [name] always hope someone brings?

    Ask for a specific snack. Avoid making a brand and its broader category separate options.

  7. Which place would [name] choose for their next holiday?

    Frame this as their current choice, not a prediction. Collect a single destination before writing the alternatives.

  8. What small everyday thing does [name] consider a perfect birthday treat?

    Ask for something they are happy to share, such as breakfast in bed or a long walk. Keep the alternatives kind.

Answers and scoring

Award the question’s points for the marked correct choice. Give every question equal points for a simple round. The birthday person’s confirmed answer is the answer key; if their preference changes later, explain when you collected it.
